October 25, 2026A Halloween Reading Night for Two
A reading night for two sounds like a good Halloween plan to me because it leaves room for both company and quiet.…

Valentine Kingdom now has a home online.
Until now, most of the project has existed behind the scenes — writing, designing, testing, rebuilding parts of the website, and slowly shaping how everything should eventually fit together.
The site is finally at the point where it can begin doing what I originally wanted it to do: give Valentine Kingdom one permanent place to grow from.
It is still early.
There are no released books waiting inside the library yet, and many parts of the project are only beginning to take shape. But the foundation is now here, and that matters more to me than trying to make the website look larger than the world currently is.
I have spent a lot of time thinking about how Valentine Kingdom should exist online.
I did not want a website filled with unnecessary pages, empty sections, or features added simply because other publishing websites have them.
It needed to stay simple.
A reader should be able to arrive, understand what Valentine Kingdom is, follow what is happening, and eventually have one familiar place to return when the books begin releasing.
That meant building the structure before there was much to put inside it.
The website, account system, library, reading experience, and news section are all part of that foundation.
One of the things I wanted to avoid was building too far ahead.
It is very easy to create dozens of sections for things that may not be useful for years.
Instead, I would rather let the site grow at the same pace as Valentine Kingdom itself.
When there is a new book, the library can grow.
When there is something worth announcing, the News section can carry it.
When the reading experience needs improving, it can be changed without rebuilding the entire system around it.
That feels much more natural to me.
The website does not need to look enormous on day one. It just needs to be ready for what comes next.
Even though the first release is still ahead, the digital reading system has already been built around how I want the books to be experienced.
The idea is simple: readers will eventually be able to sign in, enter their library, choose a book, and read directly through the site or installed app experience.
I wanted that part ready early because I did not want to wait until release day to start figuring out how everything should work.
The reading system can now be refined before it becomes something readers depend on.
That gives me time to keep it clean rather than rushing it later.
This site will also be the main place where I write about what is happening with Valentine Kingdom.
That includes book progress, website changes, releases, larger announcements, and parts of the world I want to talk about along the way.
Social media can share those updates, but I like having one place where the full version always remains.
Posts can be found later instead of disappearing into a feed after a day or two.
That is one of the reasons I wanted the website online before the first book release.
The story has not launched yet, but the journey toward it already has.
There is something satisfying about reaching the point where the project is no longer only sitting in folders, drafts, design files, and unfinished pages.
Valentine Kingdom now exists somewhere people can actually visit.
There is still plenty to do.
The books still need to arrive. The site will continue changing. Some ideas will probably be replaced by better ones as I keep building.
But that is fine.
I would rather let the project become stronger slowly than pretend it is already finished.
For now, Valentine Kingdom is online, the foundation is working, and there is finally one place where everything can begin coming together.
That is enough for this stage.
The rest will arrive when it is ready.
